Being an expat partner

Are you the partner of an expat?

Having followed your partner to a new destination abroad. You have left your friends, your family, and your job behind, to go and live in a new country. Exciting, but scary as well. In most cases you do not know what to expect in the new country. At first, everything is exciting, you are busy settling in your new home, unpacking boxes, getting organized. And then what? The boxes are all unpacked, the kids are off to school, your partner is at work.

Settling in a new country is a process. You will go through various ā€“ sometimes very challenging – phases. You may feel frustrated and lonely. You can experience homesickness, missing your family and friends, or your old job. Your job was what gave you your confidence and identity. You start to wonder: who am I in these new circumstances? I will help you get you through this starting phase. Together we will discover your goals and what you would like to achieve, turning this expat experience into a success.

I will help you to:
